Saga: Mythos: Gods & Lovers #1
Fecha de publicación: 25 de febrero del 2014
Géneros: Adulto, Mitología, Romance
For fans of the Oracle of Delphi series…and for those who aren’t…
Born into one of the wealthiest families in Ireland, Siobhan Law has status, privilege, and a secret: The Greek gods of Olympus and their kingdom in the clouds are real, and her family acts as one of their agents on Earth.
When the beautiful immortal celeste Liam Argyros shows up claiming to have come to Earth to deal in the affairs of the divine, Siobhan finds herself unable to resist his charms. New to the game of passion and seduction, she quickly ends up in over her head, sinking deeper with every attempt Liam makes to win her over.
But Liam’s divine mission is far more complex than she ever imagined and nothing is truly as it seems. Because Liam has a secret of his own: He is Apollo, Olympian god of the Sun, and his mission will never be complete until he has claimed Siobhan’s heart forever.

“If I asked you to be my lover, would you?” Liam inquired, changing the subject completely.
I stared at him as if he were mad. “No!”
“Why not?” He actually had the audacity to look surprised.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. “On top of the fact tha’ I jus' met you and you stole principal from me today? Besides, you belong to Aphrodite.” And nobody with brains purposely ticked off the ever-vengeful goddess of Love. Her jealousy and wrath was almost as legendary as Hera, the Queen of the gods.
“Jealous, Siobhan Law?”
“Definitely not! I actually pity her and can’t understand why she’d want you as a lover. I’m sure she regrets it every time she sees your face.”
Liam laughed. “She feels a lot of things when she sees me, but regret is not one of them.”

Conor exited the car as soon as he spotted us approaching. Within seconds, he was opening my door and waiting for me to climb inside.
“Ready to whisk her away even before I’ve had a chance to kiss her goodbye, Conor?” Liam said, handing the driver my violin case. He set his on the ground by our feet.
I saw Conor’s cheeks redden and it wasn’t from the cold. “Apologies. I’ll jus’ wait in the car then.”
“I’ll only be a minute,” I said, knowing I was blushing, too.
He studied us for a minute, then said, “O’ course, miss.”
Liam swept me into his arms the moment Conor’s door closed. My arms immediately wrapped around his neck, and nothing more needed to be said.
Liam slanted his mouth over mine and brought our lips together. At first, he was gentle. Our lips performed a slow rumba that was as intense as it was tender. His tongue was like a tease, begging for permission but not daring to enter even when permission was given. This went on for a minute or two, until I could hardly stand it another second and moaned out of frustration.
“Wha’ are you waitin’ for, Liam?” I whined against his mouth. He chuckled, but he understood what I wanted and he gave it to me.
The feel of Liam’s tongue sliding over mine was like an orgasm in itself. My brain shorted out and all I could do was just stand there and take all that he was giving me. He didn’t just kiss me either. He conquered me, took my freedom by force. The way his hands caressed my hips said he was my ruler now and submission was my only option. His blue eyes bore into mine, heightening the experience while his lips tried to persuade me to accept his invitation and spend the night with him. It would be worth it, his soft lips said. The best night of your life, his hands agreed. I moaned in anticipation and felt Liam’s arms enclose around me.
But just as I fell forever in love with Liam’s kiss, he pulled away.

“Your ass looks fantastic wrapped in black.”
I fumbled the book in my hand and pivoted to find Apollo perched on the corner of the desk across the library as those blazing blue eyes of his stared me down. He looked delicious dressed in true divine garb–a black leather cuirass, leather trousers and boots–and biting the inside of my cheek was all I could do to keep myself from drooling. His displayed muscles were olive and toned and I wanted to touch and grab and run my hands all over them. But I stayed right where I was. I didn’t trust myself to stop at touching.
“My lord,” I breathed, now clutching the book to my chest. I ran a hand over my black skirt. “Wha’ are you doing here?”
“You have to ask?” his ancient voice rumbled as his eyes ran over the entire length of my body.
“How did you get in?”
A sexy, black eyebrow raised.
“I mean, how did you get in without me knowin’? I didn’ see a flash. Why do you flash sometimes and other times not?”
Apollo waved his hand in the direction of the doors and I heard the lock click into place. He stood and began to slowly prowl toward me. “Gods flash because we’re vain and we like to make an entrance. But we don’t have to. We don’t have to do anything we don’t want to do.”
Suddenly, he was right in front of me. I almost screamed.
“Don’t do tha’!” I said, sucking in a deep breath as Apollo pried the book from my hands and placed it on the shelf behind me.
“Don’t do what? This?” His arms were around my waist and he was kissing me within half a heartbeat.
I just couldn’t resist the man. His kiss was like an oasis after I had been dragging half dead through an arid wasteland. I gulped him down and I still couldn’t get enough. For this man, this god, I would always be parched.

“Play something for me, Siobhan,” he requested between chapters.
I smiled and marked my place in the book. “Only if you play somethin’ for me as well.”
He nodded once, watching me closely. I slid off my bed and went to collect my violin from my practice room, which I accessed through the doors that connected all of my rooms together. After a bit of tuning, I returned to my bedroom. Apollo remained where he was–shirtless and beautiful, stretched across my bed with his arms folded behind his head. I shivered. He was the reason handsome men were sometimes referred to as Greek gods, though I was completely certain that no mortal man could ever look this magnificent.
Tucking my violin beneath my chin, I started to play and was immediately drawn into my own secret realm. It was like a new experience every time I played my violin. I became lost in the music, swept away by the melody, and forgot the rest of the world existed. Even in practice, I poured my entire soul into the pieces I played because, like love, I felt that true passion could never be put on hold. Music was me, and I was it. I couldn’t imagine my life without it.
With a final chord, I ended my piece.
Apollo didn’t applaud me, but his admiring smile was praise enough. “I’m looking forward to the day when that piece is finished.”
I blushed, realizing I should have known the god of Music would know an unfinished composition when he heard one. I wondered did he know I had written it for him.
“Your turn,” I said, setting my violin on the stand I kept in my bedroom.
“The only instrument I want to play now is you. Like my lyre, plucking all the right strings to make you sing.”
♥ Sorteo ♥
a Rafflecopter giveaway
